With the Carpishuyacu Waterfall Tarapoto Tour or “Carpishuyacu Waterfall”, you can enjoy nature while discovering the wildlife of the 4 most visited destinations of Tarapoto and the entire jungle in San Martin.  Tarapoto, a city in central-eastern Peru on the edge of the Amazon rainforest, is the most populated city in the department of San Martin and the average annual maximum temperature is 29 °C.

On this tour you can visit the Carpishuyacu waterfall, a beautiful waterfall with a large pool for bathing. The road to reach it has some obstacles in the form of slopes and a small ravine that must be crossed, this makes our tour is considered more adventure than other hikes.

No previous physical preparation is necessary but it is important to take into account if you have any physical limitation. The duration of the hike is about 45 minutes and halfway there are thermal baths where it is possible to bathe.

  • Day 01: Carpishuyacu Waterfall

DETAILED ITINERARY

Carpishuyacu Waterfall (09.00 am – 04.30 pm)

  • 09.00 am We will pick you up at your hotel to go in the direction of the Carpishuyacu waterfall.
  • After 40 minutes by car we will arrive at the entrance of the reserve where the waterfall is located and begin a walk through the interior of the jungle.   During the journey we will save several slopes with stairs that are enabled along the way.
  • At the end of the trail we will cross a small river with a raft and we will find some thermal baths where we can bathe.    Finally about 10 minutes away, we will find the waterfall of Carpishuyacu where we will bathe in its two pools.
  • There we will also have a box lunch and once rested we will walk again and take the bus to return to Tarapoto.
  • 04.30 pm We will leave you at the hotel.
  • IMPORTANT: The realization of the tour depends on the weather conditions, in case of not having favorable weather conditions will be replaced by another tour.
