The Huacachina oasis, located 5 km from the city of Ica, is surrounded by large sand dunes, suitable for practicing the sport called Sandboard, as well as other adventure sports.
According to history, years ago the witches of the different towns of Ica used to gather here to perform their rituals. Today, the old meeting point of these witches has become the site of a monument known as “The Witch of Cachiche”, a piece that represents one of the old healers of the town, famous for the powerful moorings she could perform.
