DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Pick up from Hotel – Marcelo Batata – Cooking Class – Traditional

  • 08.30 – 08-50 hrs Pick up from your hotel in Cusco, transfer to Marcelo Batata’s place.
  • 09.00 hrs, INTRODUCTION, Our Chef Instructor will give an introduction to the Peruvian culinary culture sharing his knowledge of the history, biodiversity and geography (30 minutes).
  • 09.30 hrs THE EXOTICS, because of its tropical location Peru is home to different exotic fruits and here you will have the opportunity to enjoy sweet, sour and sweet and sour flavors of the best seasonal fruits (20 minutes).
  • 10.00 hrs COLORS, AROMAS AND TEXTURES, our Interpretative Center “El Mercado” shows all the products of the local market of San Pedro, but in a much more orderly, clean and safe proposal. A meeting point with the varied Peruvian potatoes, the different types of chili peppers, corn and quinoa among many other products (30 minutes).
  • 10.30 hrs A SEA OF FLAVORS, our first dish to prepare will be the delicate Peruvian ceviche using fresh fish from our coasts with a mixture of ingredients that make it unique and unforgettable (30 minutes).
  • 11.00 hrs PISCO O`CLOCK, during this time we will be able to enjoy the Peruvian flag liquor, understanding and falling in love with its history. To finish with the preparation of Pisco Sour and Pisco Chilcano (45 minutes).
  • 11.45 hrs WOK-ING TIME, after the demonstration and instructions of the Chef, all participants will prepare their own sautéed pork loin with the techniques of sautéing in Wok (15 minutes).
  • 12.00 hrs Tasting of what has been learned and cooked.
