International Safe Travels Seal of Approval

COLCA VALLEY AND CANYON AND THE CITY OF AREQUIPA
Let’s celebrate with Arequipa! The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) awarded the international Safe Travels seal to two tourist destinations in the Arequipa region: Destino Valle y Cañón del Colca and Destino Arequipa Ciudad, which guarantees that they comply with biosecurity protocols and are safe before the COVID-19.
TEAMWORK
It should be noted that the awarding of the seal is part of a joint effort between Mincetur and regional and local authorities and the private sector. In this way, information was gathered, as well as verification of compliance with the protocols. In addition, technical support was provided for the development and implementation of surveillance plans and biosecurity measures for tourist attractions, inspections and monitoring actions for tourism service providers with the competent entities.

Having the Safe Travels seal opens the doors for more visitors to these destinations to feel safe, but we must remember that the civic task of respecting biosafety protocols for tourism must also be fulfilled. So, now you know, Arequipa is waiting for you! Visit it responsibly.
