This fortress has only three entrances, all in the form of narrow, walled alleys.

The keep

Built on the second level, very close to the northern zone of the Architectural Complex, this structure that measures approximately seven meters high is considered the tallest construction in Kuelap. It is believed that it served as a defensive structure with a spectacular panoramic view of the area, thus guarding against possible attacks from adjacent towns. The Tower is part of the Kuelap Chachapoyas Tour.
