The rafting activity lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
It takes place on the Upper Urubamba River, in a section called Chuquicahuana, which has class III and III+ rapids.
No previous experience is necessary, although there is a comprehensive safety talk before the start of the activity.
Each is at least 100 metres, depending on weather and conditions.
It is recommended to bring a full set of dry clothes, sunscreen, a medium towel, a swimming costume to wear under the wetsuit, and a good positive mental fitness.
Due to the high altitudes of Cusco and Cusipata, where part of the Rafting, Sauna & Zipline tour takes place, it is recommended that travellers acclimatise before participating in intense physical activities. Spending a few days in Cusco before the tour could help in this process. Acclimatisation can reduce the risk of altitude sickness, the symptoms of which include headache and nausea.
