SHORT ITINERARY

• Day 01: Arrival to Puerto Maldonado – Lake Sandoval

Tours to Tambopata (200 – 400 m.a.s.l.)

• Pick up from the airport or bus station at the agreed time. Transfer to the port and then to the lodge.
• 8.30 am We will embark at Puerto Acosta in a boat and travel down the Madre de Dios River for approximately 30 minutes, downstream until we reach our lodge and then we will go to the lodge.
• 9.30 am We take the boat to cross the river to reach the Sandoval Lake Control Post in the Tambopata National Reserve. After registering the names of the passengers, we will hike 3 km for 1 hour.
• During this walk you will have the chance to see a great variety of flora and hopefully a variety of fauna such as birds, monkeys, rodents, arachnids, insects, reptiles and amphibians.
• After walking along the shores of the lake, we will taste a delicious and TYPICAL jungle LUNCH and then take a rowing boat and go for a ride on the lake.
• We will look for birds such as: hoatzins, cormorants and other birds and hopefully “the playful Giant Otters”.
• After all the activity on the lake we will return to the lodge.
• 4.30 pm Return to the city of Puerto Maldonado.
