DAY 01: AREQUIPA – PAUCARPATA – YUMINA.

We will begin the adventure at 8:20 a.m. with pick-up from your hotel, where our agent will be waiting to take you on a day full of exploration.

We begin our journey from our cozy stable. From here, we will have a spectacular view of the Paucarpata terraces, a national cultural heritage, and the majestic Misti volcano rising on the horizon.

During the journey, you will enjoy impressive landscapes and pre-Inca terraces while observing the traditional yoke in action, a symbol of local agriculture.

As we descend towards the Andamayo river gorge, you will connect with nature and the tranquility of this beautiful place. The serenity of the surroundings will allow you to fully enjoy the beauty of the landscape. Then, we will begin an ascent through the countryside and pre-Hispanic terraces, considered among the most beautiful in southern Peru. Here, our instructors will teach you to trot and gallop, taking us to the picturesque traditional town of Yumina.

We will descend through the cobblestone streets of Yumina, surrounded by ancient stone houses. We will visit the main square and the chapel “Nuestra Señora de la Asunta,” a place full of history and charm that will transport you back in time. We will head to the Yumina spring waters, a perfect place to refresh and enjoy the tranquility. Here, you can relax and contemplate the beautiful natural surroundings.

Finally, we will begin our return to Paucarpata, crossing pre-Hispanic terraces.
