DESCRIPTION

Description Tour to Machupicchu by train

With the Machupicchu Tour by train or “Sacred Valley Tour & Machupicchu Vistadome”, you will enjoy the most appreciated valley by the Incas due to its special geographic and climatic qualities. It was one of the main production points due to the richness of its lands and the place where the best corn grain in Peru is produced. It is composed of numerous rivers that descend through ravines and small valleys and has numerous archaeological monuments and indigenous peoples.

In our tour we will visit PISAQ, or P’isaqa, which means partridge (a type of hen very abundant in this area). It is known that the architecture of this Inca compound combines mystical Inca constructions and the natural wealth of the Urubamba Valley. For the Incas, the cities were built on the basis of figurative traces of animals.

THE PISAQ MARKET OR PISAQ CRAFTS FAIR, is one of the most famous of the continent, is open every day in the main square of Pisaq. You can get all kinds of textiles, ceramics, goldsmiths, agricultural and medicinal plants as sourvenirs. URUBAMBA, after a morning full of emotions here we will enjoy a buffet lunch in one of the restaurants that offers the best presentations of typical dishes of the Cusco region.

OLLANTAYTAMBO, in Inca times, it was a Tambo or lodging town, it was a key point to reach the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu through the Inca Trail. Today it is one of the most monumental architectural complexes of our ancestors, has been built on two mountains in a strategic place that dominates the entire valley. It was a military, religious, administrative and agricultural complex. The entrance is through a gate called Punku-punku, made of stone and double imperial jamb. It is the entrance to a city with a legend of prestige. It is necessary to begin to climb some stairs rigorously well traced and at the top is the masterpiece of the architects and Inca stonecutters.

Ollantaytambo is the only living Inca city, which is preserved almost intact and their houses still serve as homes where their descendants dwell. The design of the city, its axes, its urban structure, the beauty of the volumes and its play of light and shadow attract everyone. The main temple has a façade with six pink granite monoliths brought from another place and perfectly assembled in the stone.

The tour of the Sacred Valley is one of the most popular activities when visiting the city of Cusco, also in the Sacred Valley is the town of Ollantaytambo, Ollantaytambo is an Inca town and is where the train station that takes us to Machu Picchu, everyone who comes to Cusco and the Sacred Valley does it in order to make the tour to Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu would have been one of the resting places of Pachacutec, ninth Inca of the Tahuantinsuyo between 1438 and 1470.

It is considered, at the same time, a masterpiece of architecture and engineering. Its peculiar architectural and landscape characteristics and the veil of mystery that has been woven around it in much of the literature published about the site, have made it one of the most popular tourist destinations on the planet, as well as one of the 7th wonders of the modern world.
