Our tourist transportation will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin our journey south toward Quiquijana, Cusipata, and the Pitumarca Valley de Semana Santa.

05:15 am – Brief Stop in Pitumarca & Drive to Ananiso Community

We will arrive in Pitumarca (3,600 masl) to stretch our legs and enjoy breakfast before continuing our drive through rural villages with distant views of snow-capped Ausangate and the Red Valley de Semana Santa.

07:30 am – Arrival at Ananiso Canyon & Waterfall Hike

We will arrive at Ananiso Community (4,400 masl) at the edge of the 150-meter-deep canyon. After taking panoramic photos, we will begin a 1.5-hour hike along a narrow mountain trail to the hidden waterfall de Semana Santa.

10:30 am – Exploration of Ancient Indigenous Cave Paintings

On our return walk, we will visit ancient pre-Inca rock paintings discovered in 1947. Our guide will explain how Kanas and Kanchis tribes depicted hunting scenes of llamas, vizcachas, and eagles de Semana Santa.

We will enjoy a wholesome, freshly prepared lunch in the rural community of Ananiso before boarding our transport for the return drive to Cusco de Semana Santa.
