03:30 AM – Hotel pickup and transfer to Ollantaytambo
Very early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to head toward the Ollantaytambo train station. During the drive, we will cross part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, enjoying beautiful Andean landscapes before boarding the tourist train.
06:10 AM – Journey on the Expedition Train
We will board the Expedition tourist train bound for the town of Aguas Calientes. Along the route, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley, the Urubamba River, and the cloud forests that announce the approach to Machu Picchu.
08:00 AM – Bus to the Machu Picchu Citadel
Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes, we will head to the Consettur bus station to ascend for approximately 30 minutes to the main entrance of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
09:00 AM – Guided Tour of Machu Picchu
Our professional guide will meet us at the citadel entrance to begin a guided tour of approximately two and a half hours. Throughout the route, we will visit the primary sectors of the Historic Sanctuary, such as the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Plaza, the Sacred Rock, the Temple of the Three Windows, and other important structures built by the Inca civilization.
11:30 AM – Free time to explore Machu Picchu
At the end of the guided tour, you will have free time to continue exploring the citadel on your own, take photographs of its stunning scenery, or simply enjoy the unique energy of one of the world’s most iconic destinations. If you hold the corresponding entry ticket, you may also explore additional pre-booked circuits.
01:30 PM – Descent to Aguas Calientes
Following the visit, we will board the tourist bus once again down to the town of Aguas Calientes. There, you will have free time to have lunch, walk through its streets, visit the artisan market, or relax in the famous hot springs (optional).
04:30 PM – Return via Expedition Train
At the scheduled time, we will board the Expedition train to return to Ollantaytambo. During the trip, you will once again enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley as this unforgettable experience comes to an end.
10:10 PM – Arrival in Cusco
Upon reaching the Ollantaytambo station, our transport will be waiting to transfer you back to the city of Cusco. We will conclude the tour by dropping you off near the Plaza de Armas or at your hotel, depending on your prior arrangement.
