05:00 am – Hotel pickup and transfer to Ollantaytambo
Our transport will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin the journey to the Ollantaytambo train station. Along the route, we will cross the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas as we head toward one of the most famous railway journeys in the world.
07:45 am – Boarding the Vistadome Train
We will board the exclusive Vistadome Train bound for Aguas Calientes. Thanks to its panoramic windows, you can admire the impressive landscapes of the Andes, the Vilcanota River, and the lush vegetation announcing the arrival at the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
09:15 am – Arrival in Aguas Calientes and bus transfer
Upon arriving in the town of Aguas Calientes, our staff will provide all necessary assistance to board the tourist bus that ascends to the entrance of the Machu Picchu citadel in an approximate ride of 30 to 35 minutes.
09:50 am – Meeting with the guide and entry to Machu Picchu
Our professional guide will be waiting at the entrance of the Historic Sanctuary to begin the guided visit. Before entering, you will receive a brief explanation of the tour and recommendations to make the most of this unique experience.
10:00 am – Guided tour of the Citadel of Machu Picchu
We will begin a guided visit of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes through the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. During the tour, you will discover the main sectors of the citadel, such as the Main Plaza, the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Sacred Rock, agricultural terraces, and other important structures built by the Inca civilization. Our guide will share the history, architecture, and mysteries surrounding one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
12:30 pm – Free time to explore and take photographs
At the end of the guided tour, you will have time to explore permitted sectors of Machu Picchu on your own, capture photos from the best viewpoints, and enjoy the impressive energy that characterizes this Inca citadel.
01:30 pm – Descent to Aguas Calientes
We will board the eco-friendly bus taking us back to the town of Aguas Calientes. During the descent, you can continue enjoying views of the lush vegetation surrounding the Historic Sanctuary.
02:00 pm – Buffet lunch and free time
We will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a renowned restaurant in Aguas Calientes. Afterward, you will have free time to stroll through the town’s streets, visit the artisan market, or simply relax before the return journey.
06:20 pm – Return journey on Vistadome Train
At the designated time, we will reboard the Vistadome Train heading to Ollantaytambo. During the trip, you will enjoy an exclusive onboard experience featuring traditional Andean music, a cultural performance, and a fashion show showcasing garments made from fine alpaca fiber, making the return trip an unforgettable experience.
08:05 pm – Transfer from Ollantaytambo to Cusco
Upon arrival at the Ollantaytambo station, our tourist transport will be waiting to start the return journey to the city of Cusco, where this unforgettable experience will come to an end.
10:00 pm – Arrival at hotel in Cusco
Arrival in the city of Cusco and transfer to your hotel, concluding one of the most spectacular tours in Peru combining the comfort of the Vistadome Train with the magic of Machu Picchu.
